French Digital Minister Calls out Yellow Jackets for Spreading ‘Fake News’

France's State Secretary for Digital Mounir Mahjoubi criticized the popular movement of Yellow Jackets today for using fake news and disinformation in their continued protests against the country's social policies.

"What's dangerous about conspiracies is that it hampers sincere mobilization," Mahjoubi told French radio station France Inter. He added on Twitter social media platforms "should be used to listen, to respond, to inform."
